  • The design might not motivate students who are not otherwise interested in composing.

Mindprint Expert Review

Word Mover is a simple app for creating digital magnetic poetry that can be fun and creative for some, but dull for others. Students construct their own poetry from the extensive word bank or words they add. Students also can reconstruct the words of four famous works: America the Beautiful, The Gettysburg Address, I Have a Dream or Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18. Students simply drag and drop from the word bank in their preferred order. They can easily move words around as they change their minds or choose to create a more visual display. They can choose from twelve different backgrounds and fonts and colors to further personalize their poetry. Once they finish, they can share their work with others. Word Mover can be a great app for interested students to get started with writing poetry or enjoy collaborating with others.
