  • The interface is easy to use but not design to appeal to students.

Mindprint Expert Review

Tiki-Toki is a paid website that does a reasonable job enabling students and adults to create timelines in a relatively straight-forward way. Students can register and create one timeline for free before paying to use the site. Visual timelines can be a helpful way for students to remember events in relation to each other and also for planning activities. Tiki-Toki guides students through the process of creating a timeline in a straight-forward way. Students can easily embed links but not images from a hard drive which might limit the usefulness for many students. Tiki-Toki does not have engaging features or examples so it may only be useful for students who appreciate the value of visual timelines and can envision how they can use it. Overall, this is a fine tool, but it might be best suited for students using it to meet a specific class objective rather than as visual study aid.
