Mindprint Expert Review

Zoomita is a free college essay platform that allows students to create, manage, and access college application essays. It will be most helpful for students who need help organizing, not necessarily writing. Zoomita has a clean easy-to-navigate interface which sets it apart from similar sites. Students begin by selecting colleges of choice which are automatically displayed on a personal dashboard. Clicking on a college name provides the essay requirements and prompts for their application and supplement, deadline, and a document for writing drafts. Writing drafts is conveniently done directly in the site. Students are then able to create multiple drafts which are organized in the dashboard by college. Drafts are easily emailed to teachers or others for review, and students can compare the review side-by-side with their original version. The Essay Graph feature lays out all of the prompts as a single document so students can easily compare requirements. However, reading the summaries may be stressful for some students because of the enormous amount of information crammed on the pages and use of tiny font. Overall, the essay writing process may be generally overwhelming for students applying to multiple schools, and this site provides a helpful tool to organize and keep track of individual school requirements and drafts.
