Use Strong Verbal Memory in Group Work: Checklist (Bb)

If your student's strongest skill is verbal memory and you want them to build their confidence for a group assignment

Using Strong Verbal Memory In Group Work

  1. Verbal memory can be a great asset in group projects to keep the team on track and including key information that others might forget
  2. At the beginning of each session, offer to present a summary of what happened in the last meeting to start off the meeting. This is a great way to keep your group on track and minimize confusion.
  3. At at the end of the session, offer a recap of what was accomplished and agreed upon. This will help anyone who might not have followed the entire conversation and ensure that everyone is in agreement on next steps.
  4. Keep the group on track throughout the meeting by filling in knowledge gaps, helping replay a conversation, or reminding others of the teacher's guidance.

What To Keep In Mind

You might remember easily what was said or learned in class, but not everyone does. Don't be surprised when others don't remember, just use your strong skill to help them.
