Mindprint Expert Review

This fun sketchbook encourages students to think openly and creatively to invent solutions to real world (and some imaginary) problems. The opening page encourages students to think about ideas that are "bonkers" and yet serve a need, and then encourages creative thinking throughout. Students are presented a topic through colorful illustrations and brief explanations of related inventions with a bit of information about them. Students use the adjacent page to draw an invention on their own. The pages are made of nice, thick paper so students can easily erase and iterate on their designs. The last page of the book explains patents and provides a basic template for students to move ahead on patenting one of their ideas. There is also a certificate for the crazy invention. Overall, this is a fabulous workbook to encourage purposeful creativity that a wide range of students are likely to enjoy.
