Mindprint Expert Review

Pros

  • The layout and design is simple and easy to read.
  • Can be a helpful and accessible reference for students who just need to reference formulas.

Considerations

  • The app does not consistently provide diagrams and examples, so students do not know exactly what to expect for each topic.
  • The app does not enable students to favorite certain theorems that they use regularly for easy reference.
  • The app will not be helpful for students who do not understand the topics they are referencing.

Mindprint Expert Review

This is a useful app for students who know or are learning calculus to reference formulas or theorems as they are problem solving, but parents should not expect students to learn or better understand calculus using this app. The navigation is straight-forward with a clean, easy to read layout. Each rule or theorem gets its own page displaying the rule in mathematical terms. In some cases, but not most, there is supporting text, diagrams or examples. Students who struggled understanding the concepts will not be helped by this app, but students who simply need to refresh their memories about the formulas and how to apply them may find this a helpful, easy to use reference tool. *Note: This app was originally reviewed for iPhone/iPad. Some differences might apply.
