Mindprint Expert Review

Pros

  • The cards are conveniently attached and designed to "fan out" so cards can't get lost and only the person asking the questions can see the answers.
  • Players practice reading skills when asking the questions and listening skills when answering the questions.
  • Each card combines easy and hard questions, so a child can feel successful even if he/she misses a question.

Considerations

  • The cards use small font, and there may be too many questions per card for students with visual weaknesses.
  • This game uses a grade level so only students working on or above grade level will benefit from this game.
  • Adults may want to monitor children playing together who may have unevenly matched skills.

Mindprint Expert Review

Brain Quest 2 is an outstanding curriculum-based game that quizzes students on topics appropriate for second grade. Players ask and answer questions from question-and-answer cards choosing from Science, Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and “Grab Bag” questions on each card. Students can play alone and self-check their answers or play with a friend or adult and take turns asking and answering questions. This game is a fun way to reinforce material learned in 2nd grade, especially for students who have difficulty retaining and recalling this information.
