Mindprint Expert Review

The Humongous Book of Calculus Problems is an effective, comprehensive workbook that provides 1,000 calculus problems and solutions that can be used to help students with calculus as well as prepare for the Calculus AB and BC Advanced Placement exams. The book covers all of pre-calculus for students who may have forgotten material necessary to continue and there are plenty of extra challenging "skull and crossbones" problems for every topic. Students who are having difficulty with the class will find plenty of practice problems with easy to understand solutions that follow every problem. In addition, in the margins there are additional helpful hints and guidance written in relatable language, in “handwriting” style notations found in the margins. For example, a student might read: “If you can’t find the tangent slope, make due with a nearby secant slope, “ or “In other words…," "Be careful..." with an arrow pointing to the exact part of the explanation. The alphabetical index of concepts with specific problem numbers and the detailed table of contents make it easy for students to find specific topics and problems for study. The appendix provides every essential formula. Overall, this is an outstanding choice for students who need extra help or practice to find plenty of practice problems as well as understandable solutions and explanations that they might not find anywhere else.
