All students, particularly those who have a fixed mindset
Teach It!
Objective: Students will be introduced to the concept of growth mindset and understand why growth mindset is important to their long-term happiness and success.
Teacher Takeaways: While there are some aspects of growth mindset that can be taught, growth mindset should be viewed as a set of thought processes that must be continuously nurtured and developed. Instilling growth mindset requires consistency and providing ongoing reinforcement for effort, risk taking, and the commitment to persevere. Growth and improvement will ultimately be dependent on developing students' self-awareness of how they learn best, and, subsequently, an understanding of what specific strategies they need to succeed. This will vary by student.
