LetterSchool is a superb app to teach students to write upper and lower case letters and numbers. This free version allows a student to try numbers 1-5 and letters a-e. In each case, a student picks a letter or number from the main screen. The student will hear the letter/number properly pronounced and used in context (part of a word for letters and counted for numbers). Students write the letter/number in three ways. First the app draws the number for the student, but only after the student clicks on the dot representing the start of each appropriate stroke. Next the student traces over the letter but must fully complete the stroke for it to work. Finally, the student writes the letter/number freehand on a plain screen. Arrows pop up to guide students if they make mistakes. This third step requires a reasonable amount of precision which could frustrate some students, but it does instill proper letter formation and the arrows should guide the student to success without too much trouble. Each screen includes fun sounds and engaging graphics for young elementary school students. Older students who are still having difficulty with proper letter formation would definitely benefit from this app, but they may not like the graphics that are clearly designed for a younger audience. This app will be an excellent choice for most young students to learn proper letter formation.

- The account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours before the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal.
