Tap Times Table is an average app to help students master multiplication tables in a multiple choice format. The app uses a winter scene with the goal to help a squirrel gather nuts. Students can select from mastery mode where they work on a specific number, memory booster which makes the player start the game over every time a mistake is made, or challenge mode where the student must fill in the correct operand for 48 consecutive problems. Unfortunately, the multiple choice format allows a student to have a sense of the answer and still guess correctly because the options are not close to each other (e.g. 3x9 options were 27, 15, 1 and 1). Sometimes one of the answers is repeated as an option. The navigation through this app is difficult to understand, leaving parents and students unsure of what mode or operand they selected. The app does allow multiple users to save work and email results to a parent or teacher.
