Mindprint Expert Review

TripLingo is an app designed to help travelers in 12 different languages, but it can also be a useful translation and vocabulary tool for students. The free version allows students to trial seeing and hearing common phrases spoken slowly or at regular speed. Students can view phrases phonetically to help with pronunciation. Students can test themselves with virtual flash cards and track their memorization progress. The app includes an easy-to-use dictionary and a translator tool that tracks the words a student has searched so they can refer back later. Most students should be comfortable using this app, but the many options on the screen could be too much for students who have difficulty focusing or making decisions. If the app is effective, parents can upgrade for the monthly subscription which will be an effective tool to help with vocabulary, pronunciation, and memorization. Parents should take note that this app offers live help and full-sentence translations that some teachers do not permit, so parents may want to check with a student's teacher before purchasing.
