Mindprint Expert Review

Pros

  • The instructions are clear and easy to follow because the circuit pieces are color coded and numbered.
  • The pieces snap together easily and there is a plastic grid to keep projects in place.
  • The projects are arranged in order of difficulty so children learn in steps.

Considerations

  • Small pieces and parts may be difficult for children with motor coordination weaknesses.
  • Once a project is finished students will need to take it apart to make the next one, which can be difficult for some children.
  • Small details are very important to make the circuits work, so an adult may need to work with children who have visual detail weaknesses.

Mindprint Expert Review

This is a well-designed and exciting toy that teaches children to build electronic circuits. Students use more than 30 real snap-together circuit components and follow instructions to create more than 100 familiar electronic devices and circuits including a doorbell, flashlight, alarm, and AM radio. This product is wonderful for interested students to learn about circuits and teaches students to closely follow directions because the circuits won't work if the directions are not followed correctly. Nearby adult supervision is recommended to help if necessary to avoid frustration and ensure a child feels successful.
