Mindprint Expert Review

Sequence is an enjoyable game that teaches strategy and is good for a broad age range. It feels like a combination of Connect 4(TM) and rummy. The game board is a grid of pictures of playing cards. Players take turns matching a card from their hands to an open position on the board and marking the spot with a chip. Players try to block opponents from getting a"sequence" of five chips in a row while attempting to build their own sequence to win. Success requires a combination of strategy and luck, so younger players should be able to effectively compete with older students and adults. There is no timer, but there is a lot of visual scanning which can be tiresome for rounds that take longer. Overall, a good game that can be played with a broad range of players.
