Mindprint Expert Review

Tri-Spy is a great, fast-paced pattern matching game that encourages concentration and spatial recognition skills. A simple 4x4 grid is setup with eight pawns in four different colors. Twelve pattern cards are placed around the board, each with a specific configuration for three of the eight pawns. At the same time, all players attempt to match a card configuration with the pawns on the board by moving a single pawn from one space to another. When a player discovers a move, he/she yells "Stop," performs the move, demonstrates which card was solved, and keeps the card. When the full deck of 60 cards has been used, the player with the most cards wins. This game does an excellent job of promoting spatial recognition when played with somewhat equally skilled players. Adults should avoid coupling children with dissimilar skills, as younger children or those with weaker visual or processing speed could easily be discouraged. For children who love a challenge and are good at spatial games, this game can be a great choice.

With only one simple rule to follow, Tri-Spy is truly one of those few games that take a minute to learn and a lifetime to master!
