Pros

  • The game comes with different patterns/games to choose from so the game will not be too easy even for those with the best memories
  • The well crafted wooden chips fit nicely into circular holes making set-up much easier than lining up cards on the floor
  • The game looks attractive and interesting on a coffee table

Considerations

  • The game is expensive for a memory game
  • One player could try to "scan the game board" before inserting it, for an unfair advantage

Mindprint Expert Review

Memory Match is simply a nicer version of your standard memory game, allowing children to improve on short-term, visual and abstract memory forms and avoid some of the painful set up/clean up of a card memory games. Using a well-crafted wooden board and circular chips, players can insert one of eight different matching games. This memory game allows students of all ages to reinforce colors, upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and animal patterns in addition to working on their short-term memory skills. In addition, it looks attractive and interesting on a coffee table. The only drawbacks are that it is expensive relative to card memory games and children with visual weaknesses might find some (not all) of the boards too challenging.
