Mindprint Expert Review

Pros

  • Children are immediately intrigued with this toy and can play for extended periods of time.
  • Although the game is designed to play independently, children often play against another player to see who finishes first.

Considerations

  • Perplexus Epic is fragile, and if it is dropped the tracks will be displaced and the toy will be ruined.
  • The tracks are very colorful and playing requires paying close attention to small details so may be a challenge for children with visual weaknesses.
  • This game requires manipulating the sphere to control a tiny ball so could frustrate children with motor weaknesses.

Mindprint Expert Review

Like Perplexus Original, Perplexus Epic is an engaging 3D puzzle logic game. By twisting, tilting, and turning a plastic sphere, the player tries to move a steel ball through a 4-track maze with 125 obstacles from start to finish. This toy is highly recommended to improve concentration, reasoning, and spatial skills. It is ideal for a child who likes puzzles and enjoys a challenge. This game is fun for children in a broad age range, and those who enjoy it find it difficult to put down. Perplexus Epic is significantly more difficult than the Original game, and the barriers are different (e.g. tricky "serpentine" curves, the "gondola" which passes the ball to another level, and a "launcher" ramp) so it is really for children who have mastered and enjoyed Perplexus Original.
