Mindprint Expert Review

This is an exceptionally fun charades-like game that helps students improve social skills, vocabulary, and flexible thinking. Using two levels of clue cards, two or more players work together to act out clues for others to guess before time runs out. The clue are written in large, easy-to-read letters, but unfortunately definitions or explanations are not provided. The instructions offer helpful suggestions for playing with younger children that are also useful to teach social skills like taking turns, working together, and agreeing on conflict resolution. Children playing with adults will encounter and learn new vocabulary as well and think about word associations which can help strengthen their long term retention. Conversely, adults might need to help some children to work out their differences because of the overriding importance of teamwork to be successful. If there are younger children, or those who might feel stressed with a timer, players can agree to modify the time constraints.
