Mindprint Expert Review

Pros

  • The game offers a good challenge for students who are typically very strong in visual and speed games.
  • This game works well for color-blind students, since the shapes are distinct and they can ignore the color.
  • The game is fast-paced and doesn't take very long so can be a good choice for those working to strengthen their attention skills.

Considerations

  • Students with weaker visual or speed skills could easily feel discouraged if playing competitively.

Mindprint Expert Review

Acuity is an engaging game for students to strengthen their visual and speed skills. Students create the game board by arranging 36 tiles face up into a 6 x 6 grid. Tiles can have up to four different combinations of shapes and colors. They then flip a new tile from the deck and try to locate an exact match on the grid in order to win the new tile. However, since none of the tiles are identical, students must make the match by using adjacent tiles to make a match. This is a great game for children who are already strong in visual and speed skills to have a good challenge. Younger children or those with weaker skills could easily feel overwhelmed or outclassed, but playing as a team can help these students improve their skills without feeling discouraged. Overall a challenging, fast-paced and fun visual game with the right group.
