Involvement in activities that benefit others can provide purpose and meaning that many young adults crave. Service activities also develop leadership skills, self-awareness and self-confidence. Students will see that in some situations, how much you care and how hard you work almost always has a significant impact on the outcome. Many service activities challenge children to think critically, flexibly and problem-solve in real world situations.
