Keep Digital or Non-Digital Reference Books for Reading and Writing Efficiency
If your student struggles with reading comprehension because of weaker vocabulary
How To Apply It!
Add-on virtual dictionaries can be a great tool for students who do a lot of online reading.
Online dictionaries can "overlay" almost any standard website, so that you can simply click on the unfamiliar word and immediately see the definition.
Many dictionaries will store your searched words so you can reference back to them later. This may be particularly good for students with weaker vocabularies.
These tools can also be used for translations into foreign languages as well.
Why It Works (the Science Of Learning)!
Virtual dictionaries allow students to look up a word in place without having to leave the text to get a dictionary. This is especially helpful for students with weaker working memory and vocabulary.
