This is a wonderful (free) app once you figure out the unnecessarily complicated navigation. The developers call this an "environment enhancer" because it includes over 3,500 free sounds for users to create playlists to help them relax and focus. Meditation and calming music is often recommended for children with anxiety, attention, and emotional sensitivities. In addition, the broad variety of sounds can make this app a good tool to use for students with auditory weaknesses to give them practice identifying the different sounds in categories including sports (ping pong, race car, etc.) to all types of animals to nature sounds to common household noises. Each sound is several minutes long and has an attractive picture which can be displayed while listening. Each sound also comes with an explanation and some history so interested students have good learning opportunities. Because there are so many free sounds, parents can trial and likely find something that works for each unique child's needs.
